ECOTOUR - Energy Efficiency Management In Tourism Industry

BDF is a not-for-profit foundation supporting especially small businesses on the topic of entrepreneurship and internationalization. BDF is located in the agro-food region of the Netherlands, the highly touristic province of Friesland.

BDF initiated and performs the management of the C-TEST project on Clean Tech solutions for employees of SMEs and students of VET colleges. Topics include Water, Solar, Wind, Biomass and Geothermal Energy.

Furthermore, BDF has expertise in e-learning in tourism sector as partner in the Route 2.0 project, a TOI project aimed to provide training in Web 2.0 tools.

BDF has established its own incubator in the city of Leeuwarden, supporting starting companies to firmly establish their business and to help them maximize their growth over a maximum period of three years. This includes coaching, business training, guidance and a 'connecting-the-dots' networking role.

BDF is a EC-accredited core member of EBN, the European Business Innovation Center Network.
